The Research and Investigation Agency (ARI) was created in 1997 by its director, Jean-Marie Lefebvre, a private detective with qualifications from the IFAR (French Training Institute for Private Investigators) and the SNST.

The private detective: an essential course of action!

A private detective's mission involves collecting information intended for third parties for the purpose of defending their interests, without divulging his/her occupation nor revealing the purpose of his/her mission (Art. 20 of Act no. 83—629 of 12 July 1983).
